EcoArt: Basket Weaving

Description

Join artist, master naturalist and EcoArts educator Mars Patterson in this free community weaving course!

We will learn about the herstory of weaving and how different cultures utilize plant materials to create items for everyday use. Mars will demonstrate how to make plarn and how to start a basic plain weave pattern using plastic grocery bags.

Please feel free to bring your own plastic bags to create your craft. Children are welcome if accompanied by a guardian.
