The Friends of Poynette Game Farm (FPGF) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the support of outdoor programs offered by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources - State Game Farm in Poynette, Wisconsin. We believe the future of hunting, especially small game hunting, depends on pairing novice hunters with an experienced mentor and providing quality upland game bird hunting opportunities, which can be achieved by partnering with the DNR through the pheasant stocking program. Additionally, we believe a well-trained hunting dog is a valuable conservation tool essential for a positive overall hunting experience! We support hunting dog training events and include some aspect of dog handling in Learn to Hunt programs, when appropriate. We educate novice hunters about hunting dog breeds and training opportunities in their area.
