Learn to Hunt - Archery

Description

The Wisconsin Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers will again be offering our Learn To Hunt Deer with a Bow course. This course consists of a bow set-up day, four classroom/range days and the hunt weekend. It is required that you make at least three of the classes along with the bow set-up day in order to participate in the hunt. All required archery equipment will be provided, including bows, arrows etc. If you do have your own bow and gear, you are allowed to use that for the course.

 

Requirements to participate in this class are as follows:

  • Be or become a member of the Wisconsin Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers. Can become a member at the bow set-up day for $35.
  • Have passed a hunters education course (any state)
  • Have passed bowhunters safety online
  • Have a DNR Customer ID number

 

Vertical Bow set up - July 25, 26 - (Half of the class each day)
-We will have staggered times for these days to show up between 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.

Classes/Range Days - Aug. 7, Aug. 21, Sept. 11, Sept. 25 
-Classes will run from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. each night, with two hours of class and an hour in the range.
-Blackhawk Bowhunters: 2103 County Hwy PB, Verona, WI 53593

Hunt Dates- Oct. 6, 7, 8
