Celebrating National Trails Day

Park Pass not required in celebration of Free Fun Weekend.
Join us for guided hikes in honor of National Trails Day and practice leaving trails better than you found them. To celebrate National Trails Day, trail guides will have limited handouts for hikers, including bandanas, buffs and stickers!
An action track chair will be available for national trails day for visitors to use with a reservation. Please contact Point Beach State Forest staff at least 24 hours in advance if you would like to reserve the chair for the event. If there are not a lot of reservations, walk in reservations will be available.
The first hike takes place on an Ice Age Trail segment. The hike will start at 9 a.m., hikers will meet at the Ice Age Trail on Viceroy RD and County O parking area in Two Rivers.
The length of this hike is approximately 3.5 miles one-way or 7 miles round-trip with a duration of two hours. There will be a shuttle available for hikers that select the one-way hike. The terrain of this hike varies but is not very difficult.
Additional Park Ranger-guided hikes will take place at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Hikers will meet at the Point Beach State Forest Nature Center for an easy hour-long loop hike. These hikes will take place on an even-surfaced gravel path.
