The Big Plant

-

Description

The Door County Big Plant brings community partners and residents together to plant 10,000 trees annually in an effort to help our ecosystems thrive, sequester carbon, protect groundwater and streams, provide shade to reduce air conditioning, and beautify our homes and landscape.

The Door County Big Plant is coordinated by the Climate Change Coalition of Door County with support from the Forest Recovery Project of Door County and Lakeshore Natural Resouce Partnership. Thanks to Destination Door County for their generous support of the 2023 Community Plantings.

Please join the movement. Buy trees for your home or organization…or join one of our community plantings, like this one at Newport State Park!
