Ride Across Wisconsin

-

Description

Ride Across Wisconsin (RAW) will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 19-20, 2023. Both mixed-surface and all-paved route options will be offered.

Ride Across Wisconsin is a fundraiser for the Wisconsin Bicycle Federation that was created to promote the great biking opportunities the state of Wisconsin has to offer. The mixed-surface 235-mile route (1- and 2-day options) will take riders west to east across the state, from La Crosse to Milwaukee, showcasing five state trails: the La Crosse River, Elroy-Sparta, 400, Glacial Drumlin and Hank Aaron state trails. These same state trails are also part of U.S. Bicycle Route 30. The 100-mile 1 Day Finish will be at Mirror Lake State Park.

To sign up for RAW, see the Ride Across Wisconsin website.

As part of the event, there will be a family-friendly slow roll ride on the Elroy-Sparta Trail. Report to the Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce (RAW rest stop 1) by 7:30 a.m. for an 8 a.m. start to ride 11 miles to the Norwalk rest stop.

Volunteers are also needed to help assist riders at rest stops along the route, load bikes for transportation, check in riders and much more. To see all the volunteer opportunities, see the Ride Across Wisconsin volunteer registration page.
