Naturalist’s Backyard Volunteer Kickoff

Description

Havenwoods State Forest will be implementing the first phase of a revegetation project in 2023, focusing on new tree plantings and prairie areas in the former UW Extension garden plots and surrounding Naturalist’s Backyard area (approximately 2 acres).

The project will include planting more than 4,000 prairie plants and 250 trees.

In addition to planting days, we will also need assistance with regularly scheduled invasive species removal and maintenance of the area.
