Maple Festival
CANCELED
-Description
Before it winds up on your pancakes and waffles, maple syrup begins its journey high up in the canopy, in the leaves of maple trees! Learn about this journey and the history and culture of maple sugaring in Wisconsin at MacKenzie Center’s Maple Festival! Our “Sweet Team” of volunteers and the Friends of MacKenzie and MacKenzie Center staff are excited to share what we’ve been up to in the past month of our maple education season! We will offer guided tours of our sugarbush, demonstrations on how to tap a tree, interpretive talks about traditional and historical maple sugaring methods, home-made ice cream topped with maple syrup, a maple-themed scavenger hunt, and so much more! This event is free and open to the public, and you will not need a state park sticker to attend. Plus, there will be concessions for sale along with local maple syrup!
For any questions, please reach out to our education team! Call us at 608-635-8112 or email Austyn.Long@wisconsin.gov.
Note: There will not be a pancake breakfast this year.
