Learn to Hunt Small Game

Description

Do you have Hunter Safety but need hands-on learning to successfully hunt squirrels and rabbits? The DNR's partners, Pheasants Forever and the National Wild Turkey Federation, can help! This full-day event will take place in the Leland/Sauk City area of Sauk County on public and private lands, where participants will be paired up with instructors for a hands-on small game hunt. Hunters will be assigned to one of three locations prior to the event. All equipment will be provided. Instruction on hunting squirrels and rabbits, and time for target practice, will be offered prior to hunting. We will notify students whether the hunt will be Saturday or Sunday depending on the weather.

Hunter Safety and a valid Wisconsin Small Game license are required to participate - please reach out if you need assistance finding a Hunter Education class or purchasing a license.
