Learn to Hunt Rabbits with Beagles

Description

This Learn to Hunt event is for anyone looking for a general introduction to rabbit hunting or an introduction to rabbit hunting specifically with beagles, a scent hound specializing in tracking rabbits and hares. The full-day program will start with a morning of instruction on rabbit hunting with beagles, along with an hour for basic target practice. After lunch, the class will caravan to Sauk Prairie State Recreation Area (15 minutes from Sauk Trap and Skeet) and pair up with instructors for an afternoon rabbit hunt. All equipment and lunch will be provided. Class date will be confirmed the week prior to Jan. 21, depending on temperatures and other weather (expect to hunt if temperatures will be above 10 degrees F in the afternoon). 

Hunter Safety and a valid WI Small Game license are required to participate - please reach out if you need assistance finding a Hunter Education class or purchasing a license.
