Winter Tracking

-

Description

Winter is an amazing time to find the tracks and traces of active animals and discover the stories they tell. In this naturalist lead hike, participants will learn how to distinguish common animal tracks, signs and scats while hiking through various habitats at Devil’s Lake. You’ll learn how to interpret the signs to determine these animals' winter behaviors. This program will take place entirely outdoors, so dress accordingly. If we have enough snow, we will snowshoe and will have snowshoes for loan. This program is intended for adults ages 18 and up. Meet at the Steinke Basin Parking Lot.
