Newport State Park First Day Hike

If spending more time outdoors is one of your 2023 resolutions, join Newport State Park volunteers on New Year’s Day for a family-friendly hike. This is the 11th year Wisconsin state parks have participated in this national event.
- WHERE: Fern Trail, Parking Lot 3. This is a 1.2-mile loop.
- TIME: 1-3 p.m.
- WHAT TO BRING: Poles, walking sticks (snow shoes or Yak Tracks if conditions warrant)
Join us after the hike at the shelter building for a bonfire, fun and games for all ages, and refreshments.
