October Illuminated Hike

-

Description

Put on your favorite Halloween Costume and join us for an illuminated hike through the paths of Big Foot Beach State Park lit by glowsticks in the trees.

A bonfire will follow the hike, weather permitting.

This event is free, however park admission is $5 if you do not have a State Park 2022 sticker.

Halloween costumes are not required, but there will be a "best costume" prize after the hike! This is some fun, non-scary Halloween fun for the whole family!

Donations are welcome (which supports the Big Foot Friends Group, who provide funds for maintenance, upgrades, and events in the park).

Candlelight events are very popular at DNR properties, with some attracting thousands of visitors on a given night. Given the recent publicity of these events access to the park may be restricted at times when parking capacity has been reached. Parking inside the park is limited! The park has a total of 180 parking stalls; currently, there is a lot of interest in the event. There is a possibility we will fill all spots. Carpooling is encouraged. Parking for cars and pickup trucks only - no trailers, bus or RV parking. There is no roadside parking in the surrounding area. A 2022 Wisconsin State Park annual sticker or $5 Special Event sticker is required.
