Snapshot Wisconsin Educator Workshop

-

Description

Are you interested in bringing Wisconsin wildlife and community science into your classroom or nature center? The Snapshot Wisconsin project is the perfect place to start!

Snapshot Wisconsin is a statewide community science project at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources that leverages a network of trail cameras to monitor wildlife. The program also provides a great opportunity to get students of all ages outdoors and learning about local wildlife.

During this workshop, you will learn how to use Snapshot Wisconsin within your classroom or environmental education programming. Program staff will introduce Snapshot Wisconsin and walk you through one of the free lesson plans designed to work with the project. The session will conclude with a demonstration of how to utilize the Snapshot Wisconsin Data Dashboard, an interactive data visualization tool that makes Snapshot data directly available to the public. The workshop will be a 1-hour, seated presentation. You can find more information about each session and property directions here.

There is no cost to this event, but prior registration is required by Wednesday, Oct. 5 at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/38TKGDX.
