Insects Of The Night

-

Description

Join naturalist Phyllis McKenzie for an introduction to moths and insects of the night. We’ll see which moths and other insects we can attract or find after dark.

Description

In Wisconsin alone, there are over 1000 known species of moths and many other nocturnal insects. Join naturalist Phyllis McKenzie to learn about moths and see which moths and other insects we can find after dark. We’ll set up a lighted canvas to attract insects and may venture to other lighted locations to see what insects are hanging out in the park after dark. Family-friendly activity: children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring insect repellent, flashlights, field guides and wear comfortable shoes.

Meet at the outdoor shelter in the south picnic area, parking lot P8.
