Camp First Aid

-

Description

This basic course will teach you how to respond to the kinds of stuff most likely encountered when you’re camping: cuts and scrapes, mild burns, sunburn, sprains, blisters, dehydration, heat exhaustion, sunstroke, insect bites and stings, ticks, itchy plants (wild geranium, poison ivy, oak, and sumac, wild parsnip, cow parsnip, stinging nettle). We’ll show you what kind of first aid kit you should carry on hikes, and what you should do if the emergency is beyond “first aid.” This class is taught by AHA-certified instructors.

Equipment suggested: bring your first aid kit if you have one, we’ll check it out!
