Nature Journaling (Kids)

-

Description

Nature Journaling is curiosity, wonder, and attention. We’ll help you create a nature journal workbook (which you get to keep), and then provide guided activities designed to get your attention, to inspire wonder, curiosity, and excitement about the natural world, and to teach you observation skills that can transfer directly to the pages of your journal. Activities will be suitable for all age levels, though small children may need a parent or guardian helper.

Equipment suggested: If you already have a journal, you are welcome to bring it! Dress for the weather, we’re likely to be outside. You might like to bring a hat and insect repellent (picaridin works with biting flies, DEET works with mosquitoes, essential oil “natural” repellents are effective for both but need to be re-applied often).

Meet outside the Nature Center.
