Loon Lake’s Wildlife

-

Description

Discover Loon Lake: Learn about Loon Lake’s inhabitants from Park Naturalist Diane Daulton. Meet at Loon Lake Beach for a family-friendly program about loon adaptations followed by beach critter investigations to see who else lives there. On-the-water paddling option will be available for $10/hour at 11 a.m. A limited number of kayaks and paddleboards are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Paddlers sign up at the park office before the program.

Later that day: After the beach program, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., stop by the Naturalist cabin (adjacent to the main parking lot) to explore the nature center, visit with the park naturalist, and participate in the activity of the day. Fun for all ages!

Other: No pets, please. State Park admission sticker or day pass required; programs are free. A special thank you to the Friends of Copper Falls for sponsoring Naturalist programs! Follow them on Facebook.
