Learn the skills of our ancestors. Try your hand at the many and exciting ways to start a fire! Join our park naturalist along with fire chief and investigator, teacher and campfire expert Ken Foszcz as he shares his wealth of knowledge and techniques. Ken has been involved in ski patrol, mountain search and rescue and instructing about Fire Science at a technical college. This interactive workshop will include use of bow drill, flint and steel and magnifying glass to start a campfire. Meet at the shelter building, from parking lot 3.
