Climb A Kame Evening Exploration

-

Description

After the glaciers melted away, they left behind a very distinctive landscape. Join Jackie Scharfenberg, Forest Naturalist, to climb the Summit Nature Trail on Dundee Mountain to better understand how the glaciers created kames, eskers, moraines, kettles and outwash plains.

The trail is about one mile long and it does require hiking up and down a steep hill. This program is for people over the age of 12 years. In event of threatening weather, the program will be canceled.

Meet at the upper boat launch parking lot at the Long Lake Recreation Area (located at N3450 Division Road, Cascade - north of County Road F near Dundee).
