Journey to Spruce Lake Bog Evening Exploration

-

Description

Explore Spruce Lake Bog for carnivorous plants, “bouncing soils” and rare flowers.

Bogs are very special communities with a lot of uncommon plants and animals. With Jackie Scharfenberg, DNR Forest Naturalist, explore Spruce Lake Bog, a National Natural Landmark, for carnivorous plants, “bouncing soils” and rare flowers.

Wear old shoes in case you get your feet wet. We will meet at the Ice Age Visitor Center and then caravan the three miles over to Spruce Lake Bog. In the event of threatening weather, the program will be canceled. This program is for people over the age of 12 years.
