First Day Hike - Devil's Lake State Park

Wisconsin State Parks is once again hosting First Day Hikes on New Year’s Day. These hikes offer visitors an opportunity to begin the New Year rejuvenated and connected with nature. This year at Devil’s Lake, you can join the Naturalist on a twilight hike/snowshoe through Steinke Basin. This will be around a 2-mile hike on an uneven trail. Dress warm and bring a flashlight and your snowshoes (if we have snow). We’ll also have snowshoes to loan. This program is for everyone, and we ask you to leave your dogs at home for this hike. 

This event is weather-dependent. Only extreme (cold) temperatures or unsafe trail conditions would cancel the event.
