First Day Hike - Kettle Moraine State Forest - Northern Unit

Join us for a magical first day hike on the 2.0-mile Tamarack Trail around Mauthe Lake. There will be a First Day Hike Giveaway for the first 27 people to join us to hike in the new year! Participants should park at the shelter and beach parking lots and be at the shelter building by 10 a.m. After the hike, warm up by a cozy fire at the shelter building and enjoy hot drinks and s'mores. Pets are welcome at this event on a leash. Valid vehicle admission required.

This event is weather-dependent. Only extreme (cold) temperatures or unsafe trail conditions would cancel the event.
