Learn to Hunt & Trap Raccoons (Iowa County)
Description
This program will focus on all things harvesting raccoons! This two-day event will be divided between raccoon trapping and raccoon hunting.
The hands-on program will be led by certified Trapper Education Instructors and will cover raccoon trapping techniques, hunting with hounds, hunting with electronic calls, and fur handling demonstrations.
Dress in layers - you will be outside all day. Boots and pants are highly recommended. Please bring a notebook and pen. All trapping and hunting equipment will be provided.
Program Dates: Saturday, October 24, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 25, 7:00 a.m. - noon.
Cost: Registration fee of $50 to be paid the first day of class.
Registration required: To register, go to gowild.wi.gov and log into your account. From your dashboard, click on Manage Safety Education, then click Search for Class. Search Learn to Hunt in Iowa county, then click Enroll.
Note: This class is not a trapper education certification class. Trapper and Hunter Education certification is not required to participate. However, if you wish to hunt or trap outside of this class, you will need to take trapper education and/or hunter education if you have not done so already.
