Root River Steelhead Facility Open House

The DNR will host a free open house at the Root River Steelhead Facility in Racine on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. This family-friendly event offers a behind the scenes look at Wisconsin’s southernmost Lake Michigan trout and salmon egg collection facility. Eventgoers will have a chance to take a guided tour of the facility, see salmon spawning demonstrations, explore the Touch of the Wild Education Trailer, participate in casting events and more.
