Description

Want to learn how to butcher and process your white-tailed deer? Join the butchers from Meatski's Quality Meats and the Wisconsin DNR for a hands-on class on how to skin, quarter, cut, trim, and grind venison. Come ready to ask your meat processing and handling questions and receive professional coaching to get the most out of your harvest.

Please wear clothing that can get dirty. All butchering supplies are provided. You may want to bring a lawn chair to sit in if you need to take a break.

Cost: Free

Registration required: To register, go to gowild.wi.gov and log into your account. From your dashboard, click on Manage Safety Education, then click Search for Class. Search Learn to Hunt in Brown county, then click Enroll. 

Participants will receive an email containing additional event details and parking Friday, September 25.

 

Interested participants with limited mobility are asked to contact the event organizer about accessibility options in advance of the event.
