History and Ecology Hike
Description
The Friends of Rib Mountain State Park invite the public to hike and hear about the history of the homestead area and early mining on Rib Mountain, while also looking at the ecology of the area. This guided hike will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 19 at the Park trailhead at W1480 Grouse Lane, Rib Mountain (drive south from Hwy NN), and will last for approximately 1 ½ hours. Hikers should bring tick repellent and water, and be prepared to hike some uneven trails with downhill and uphill areas.
