Central Sands Nature Trail Hike & Scavenger Hunt

Description

Join us for a hike on the Central Sands Nature Trail Loop, that will include an optional all-ages scavenger hunt about the forest life you can find along the trail. This is a 1.4-mile looped trail through shaded woods. The hike may take up to 1.5 hours. This dirt trail is fairly flat, with minor elevation changes and boardwalks. The trail terrain can be uneven. An all-terrain wheelchair is available to reserve in advance by calling the park office at 608-565-2789 or online. We will meet and finish at the South Shelter, where there are restrooms with running water, drinking fountains, and showers. Consider bringing insect repellent, hat, water, and sunscreen. Please leave pets at home.
