Fall Hike in the Pines

-

Description

Enjoy a guided fall hike through the pines on the Whispering Pines Trail and the Glacial Lake Trail. Learn about the history and ecology of the forest in this section of the park. We will meet and finish at the parking lot for the kids' fishing pond, which can be found across the street from the main park entrance. The hike will be about 3 miles in length and will take about 2 hours to complete. The terrain is relatively flat, but can be uneven and have mild elevation changes. An all-terrain wheelchair is available to reserve in advance by calling the park office at 608-565-2789 or online. There is a porta potty at the kids' fishing pond. The nearest accessible restroom and drinking fountain are at the park office across the street from the parking lot. Consider bringing insect repellent, water bottle, hat, and sunscreen. A vehicle admission pass is required for this event. Please leave pets at home.

This event is weather dependent.
