What's living in the fish pond?
Description
Meet at the shelter by the Kids' Fishing Pond to learn more about the amazing aquatic invertebrates that can be found in the pond. See live examples taken from the pond, complete a creepy, crawly critter bingo game, and learn what aquatic invertebrates can tell us about the health of the water they are living in. Park in the parking lot for kids' fishing pond, which is across the street from the main park entrance. The kids' fishing pond and shelter are accessed by a flat gravel and dirt trail from the parking lot. It is about a tenth of a mile from the parking lot to the shelter. An all-terrain wheelchair is available to reserve in advance by calling the park office at 608-565-2789 or online. There is a porta potty at the kids' fishing pond. The nearest accessible restroom and drinking fountain are at the park office across the street from the parking lot. Consider bringing insect repellent, water bottle, hat, and sunscreen. Please leave pets at home.
This event will be held rain or shine.
