Seeds Through the Seasons

The plants in our prairies often begin as tiny seeds. As we witness the brilliant blooms of our favorite flora during the hot summer months, we may not necessarily think about these flowers' humble beginnings. Now, with fall upon us, it's time to reflect on the passing seasons and the year our little seeds have had. Meet at the Park Office to find out more about seeds through the seasons, and to participate in some seed-collecting service. All equipment for seed-collection will be provided, but please wear long pants and sleeves to help with this special fall harvest. This program includes a walk of about three-quarters of a mile on a combination of grassy trails and paved bike path. Participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend!
