Learn to Hunt Deer Crossbow (Richland County)

Description

Cost: $50. Additional information will be provided closer to class date.

Location: Richland County Private and Public Lands (Exact location of camp will be given after registration.)

Class Limit: 10

Hunter Safety Required. Age 18 and older.

This class is for adult novice hunters who have little or no experience using a crossbow. The following skills will be taught:

• Rules and regulations.
• Registering deer.
• Habitat/biology.
• Crossbow handling and marksmanship.
• Butchering deer.

Class Schedule: 

• September 22 - 2-hour virtual session.
• September 26 - Full day of instruction and hunting.
• September 27 - Morning hunt with a departure at noon. 

Basic meals, lodging, crossbows, blinds, equipment and deer butchering supplies will be provided. You will want to bring weather appropriate clothing, snacks and a cooler for bringing home venison.

Click on the Manage Safety Education tab, click "Search for Class, and select "Learn to Hunt" as Course Type and "Richland" as County in the drop-down tabs. Register with your Customer ID number. If the class does not appear then it may be full. Please contact John to get added to the waitlist.
