Indian Mounds of Sheboygan
Description
Join Kurt Sampson, Archaeologist, for an overview of Indian mounds focusing on Sheboygan area mound sites. We’ll begin with a brief overview of what mounds are to put them into context. Then, learn about The Mounds of Horicon Marsh and the Upper Rock River, the book he co-authored with retired DNR Naturalist Bill Volkert. Meet in the Sanderling Nature Center auditorium. Accessible bathrooms and a water bottle filler are available inside the nature center. A Vehicle Admission pass is required and can be purchased online or at the Park Office upon arrival.
