What's in the pond
Description
Friends Pond may have fish, but there are many other creatures living in this unique habitat. Join naturalist Phyllis McKenzie for an exploration with scoopers and basins to discover the living secrets of the pond. We’ll begin together, then spread out around the pond. Hands may get wet, but feet will stay dry. This is a fun early morning activity for campers and other visitors. Have a snack before you come! Meet at Friends Pond, which is 0.3 miles from the entry to the campground via Old Park Rd. Walk or bike over from the campground, or drive to the pond via Cty. Rd. V and Cty. Rd. KK. We suggest sun block and a bottle of water for this adventure. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Non-flush toilets are available at Friends Pond, but no water is available at this location. Vehicle admission is required and can be purchased at the Park Office or online before you come.
This event is weather-dependent.
