Universe in the Park

Description

Explore astronomy with UW-Madison Department of Astronomy graduate students! This event will be held rain or shine. There will be a 30–40-minute talk and slideshow on astronomy topics and recent astronomical news stories. After the presentation, attendees will have the chance to use a telescope to view available astronomical objects (if the weather permits for good viewing conditions). The presentation is best suited for ages 8 and older. The telescope viewing is best suited for ages 4 and older. A Vehicle Admission Pass is required for entry and can be purchased online or at the Visitors Center upon arrival. Dress according to the weather. Consider bringing insect repellent.
