Discovery Bird Walk

-

Description

Meet Master Naturalists Janet & Andy Raddatz to observe birds and nature in the Woodland Dunes area. Walks may head into the woods, onto the shore, or along the edge of the Black River Marsh park. This walk may take 2-3 hours depending on what is seen. Participants can leave at any time. Some binoculars are available. Age 12 and up; children must be accompanied by an adult. No pets please. Bird walks meet weekly. We suggest bringing water, sunscreen, and bug spray and wearing long pants, long sleeves and closed-toe shoes or hiking boots.

Meet at the Woodland Dunes Trailhead near the playground and parking lot P8. Vault toilets and a water fountain are between the parking lot and playground. A Vehicle Admission pass is required and can be purchased online or at the Park Office upon arrival.

This event is weather-dependent.
