Full Moon Hike

Description

Join the Friends of the New Glarus Woods for a hike thru woods and savannah to view the first full moon of the summer, the Strawberry Moon, as it rises over the eastern horizon. The hike will follow part of the Havenwood Nature Trail out and back, a wide trail over moderate uphill and downhill terrain, of approximately 1 mile in length. A vault toilet (non-flush) is available close to the park shelter. 

Plan: Meet at the park shelter. Parking is available on the east side of the park, north of the entrance station. 

The event will take place weather permitting – cancelled in the event of rain or muddy trail conditions. Consider Bringing: Clothing appropriate for the weather, bug spray. *No experience necessary.
