Birding Hike

-

Description

The Friends of Rib Mountain State Park invite the public to hike and explore the glory of Rib Mountain State Park, on Saturday, June 6, at 7 am. Please come enjoy the Park’s many birds that live and nest there, and likely spot Spring wildflowers, too! This guided hike, led by members of the Wausau Bird Club, will begin at the Park trailhead at W1480 Grouse Ln, Wausau (drive south from Hwy NN), and will last for approximately 1 ½ hours.

Hikers should bring water and tick repellent, and be prepared to hike some uneven trails with downhill and uphill areas. You will be amazed at the great birds that live and thrive at Rib Mountain State Park. Binoculars can be helpful if you have them.

This event is weather-dependent. If the weather is questionable on the day of the hike, you can check the Friends’ Facebook page or call 715-680-9480.
