Wildflowers & Wild Trees Walk
Description
Join naturalist Phyllis McKenzie in search of wildflowers and trees blooming along the trail while learning about Wisconsin’s native pollinators, too. Will we see trilliums, meadow rue or mayapples? Which trees will be in bloom? Which pollinators will we find? Meet at the Black River Trail, parking lot P1. We suggest bringing water, sunscreen, and bug spray and wearing long pants, long sleeves and comfortable hiking shoes for this 1.5 – 2 mile walk on grass and earthen trails.
Please note that there are no bathrooms or water available at this location. The nearest bathrooms are vault toilets at the North Beach parking lot or at the Park Office. A Vehicle Admission pass is required and can be purchased online or at the Park Office upon arrival.
This event is weather-dependent.
