Discovering Wildflowers
Description
Wednesdays are for wildflowers. Join Master Naturalist Karen Merlau and discover a variety of wildflowers growing along the Black River Trail. As the seasons change, so do the wildflowers. Will we see trillium, skunk cabbage, or meadow rue? The walk will last at least one hour. An adult must accompany children. We suggest bringing water, sunscreen, and bug spray and wearing long pants, long sleeves and closed-toe shoes or hiking boots.
Meet Karen at the Black River Trails parking lot, P1. Please note that there are no bathrooms or water available at this location. The nearest bathrooms are vault toilets at the North Beach parking lot or at the Park Office. A Vehicle Admission pass is required and can be purchased online or at the Park Office upon arrival.
This event is weather-dependent.
