Discovery Bird Walk
Description
Join Master Naturalists Janet & Andy Raddatz to observe birds and nature in the park. Walks may take 2-3 hours depending on what is seen. Some binoculars are available to borrow. Age 12 and up; children must be accompanied by an adult. No pets please. Bird walks meet weekly. No experience required; our hike leaders are great at helping you find the birds and other nature they are discussing. We suggest bringing water, sunscreen, and bug spray and wearing long pants, long sleeves and closed-toe shoes or hiking boots.
Meet at the Black River Trails parking lot, P1. Please note that there are no bathrooms or water available at this location. The nearest bathrooms are vault toilets at the North Beach parking lot. A Vehicle Admission pass is required and can be purchased online or at the Park Office upon arrival, using a debit or credit card before the office opens.
This event is weather-dependent.
