September 27 Invasive Workday

Description

Please join us to help target invasives in the Family Campground. We'll be meeting at the Maintenance Shop at 12:30 a.m., getting instructions, gathering tools and then moving to the designated areas by 1. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Hartman Creek State Park. Please bring work gloves and a lopper. Larger tools will be provided, if necessary, as well as garbage bags to collect the invasives. Bug spray and sunscreen will also be available. Please bring a raincoat if needed. No experience necessary. In the Family Campground, we will be targeting buckthorn by using the Critical Period Cutting Method.

This event will be held rain or shine.
