Nature Scavenger Hunt

Want to get outdoors but not sure where to start? Stop by the Willow River State Park Nature Center and pick up one of our scavenger hunts to kick off your adventure! This self-guided, drop-in hike is the perfect way to explore the park at your own pace while discovering the beauty of spring. We’ll provide everything you need—just swing by the Nature Center for your scavenger hunt sheet and head out on the trails to see what you can find! We recommend trying the ½-mile Hidden Ponds Loop Trail right behind the Nature Center—it’s an easy walk and a fantastic spot to spot local wildlife waking up for the season. Whether you come solo, with friends, or as a family, this is a fun and simple way to connect with nature and enjoy the outdoors this spring. No experience necessary. 

The event is free to attend, but vehicle admission into the park is required. $5-$10 donations are welcome and make our programming possible.

This event is weather-dependent. If the event is cancelled, a notice will be posted on the Friends of Willow River and Kinnickinnic State Parks website.
