Cabin Fever: From Billions to None

-

Description

As winter sets in, many of the birds we enjoy throughout the year have migrated south. At the same time, we continue to learn that bird populations across North America are in decline. Join us as we discuss the status of birds and view the film “From Billions to None: The Passenger Pigeon’s Flight to Extinction,” which chronicles the rapid demise of a species once so abundant it darkened the skies along its migratory path. We’ll play some bird trivia before and after the film. Best for ages 14 and up. Meet at Sanderling Nature Center, which will be open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Bathrooms and a water fountain are available inside. A Vehicle Admission pass is required and can be purchased online or at the Park Office upon arrival. *No experience necessary.

This event will be held rain or shine.
