Get in Touch with Nature: Trumpeter Swans

-

Description

In 1933, extinction seemed imminent for the largest species of waterfowl, with wingspans between 6 and 10 feet and weighing between 27 and 35 pounds.

The reintroduction of the beautiful trumpeter swan has successfully restored the population to over 63,000 birds, of which an estimated 11,000 are in Wisconsin. Its comeback fills us with hope and resilience. Come and paint this majestic waterfowl that sounds like a French horn.

There is a limit of 20 participants, and a minimum of 6 people is required to hold the class. There is a $15 fee for each person painting. Register to attend and pay online, or stop in at the education center.

This event is recommended for individuals aged 6-99+. Note: an adult must accompany any children.
