Big Sit Birding Event

Description

Grab your camp chair, binoculars, field guides – or your favorite birding app – and head over to the Moraine Shores Audubon’s Big Sit celebration! Whether you're a seasoned birder or just bird-curious, you're invited to help spot and identify the many fascinating species migrating through the park. We'll be based at the Nature Center – inside, outside or even up on the roof – wherever the birds take us! 

Come for a few minutes or stay the whole morning; you're welcome to drop in anytime. Throughout the event, we’ll build a list of all the birds we see and hear. It’s a fun, relaxed way to contribute to citizen science and enjoy the beauty of fall migration. Don’t miss this chance to connect with nature and fellow bird lovers! The program happens weather permitting.
