Evening Marsh/Crane Watch

-

Description

Join educators an hour before sunset at 5 p.m. for an informative talk on the birds you see flying overhead. The “Chef Gus” food truck will have food available while you enjoy the evening.

The location will be determined the week of the event based on where birds are roosting for the night. It will be either at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center or the Palmatory Street Overlook.

Sandhill cranes, Canada geese, great egrets and a variety of ducks are just a few of the amazing migrants flying into the marsh to roost at sunset.

Members of the Horicon Marsh Bird Club will also be on hand to answer all your bird migration questions!

All programs are free and open to the public. Bring a chair and binoculars if you have them, as we enjoy a fall evening at the marsh! No registration required.
