Learn to Process Wild Game: Deer
Description
This class is designed for adults who would like to acquire the skills of cleaning their own deer. The instructor will demonstrate skinning, cutting the animal into quarters and breaking those quarters down into basic usable cuts. Attention will also be paid to chronic wasting disease, the best use for each cut of each and packaging meat.
Class will be taking place outside, and we will be getting our hands dirty, so dress accordingly. There is a $25 fee (cash or check made payable to "Pheasants Forever Wisconsin"), due upon arrival. All supplies will be provided. Those who wish to take home venison from the demonstration should bring a cooler packed with ice. This is a Wisconsin DNR-Pheasants Forever class designed to help hunters acquire new skills and increase participation in hunting.
