Learn To Hunt Squirrel
Description
This class is designed for adults who would like to acquire the skills to hunt gray and fox squirrels in Wisconsin. It will be run as a Learn to Hunt, and participants will get to try hunting public lands in Dane County with an experienced mentor.
Topics covered: safety, hunting strategies, gear, regulations and successful cooking methods. If hunters are successful, we will also get to learn how to clean game at the end of class.
Cost: $25 per person, payable in cash or check made out to "Pheasants Forever Wisconsin."
To register: Go to Go Wild and log in or create an account if you don't already have one. Click on the Manage Safety Education tab, click "Search for Class," and select "Learn to Hunt" as Course Type and "Dane" as County in the drop-down tabs. Register with your Customer ID number.
What to bring: Dress for the weather and consider wearing camouflage or earth tones to help with concealment in the woods. Bring a cooler if you would like to take your game home at the end of the night.
Firearms, ammunition and game cleaning supplies will be provided. Hunter safety is required. Please do not bring your own firearm without first checking with the instructor.
