What Can You Hear in Your Backyard?

Description

Children aged 1-8 can enjoy a reading of Paul Showers’ "The Listening Walk" followed by a nature scavenger hunt along the trails with Master Naturalist Garth Ewing. 

This event is designed to nurture curiosity and appreciation for nature among young children. We will explore the sounds of various birds, insects, and other wildlife commonly found in our backyards and their biodiversity in the natural world. Please bring a hat, water, bug spray, sunscreen and closed-toed shoes.

Sandals are not permitted. An adult must accompany children. Vehicle admission required. No pets, please.

Meet at the Picnic area near the Playground, Parking Lot P8.
